Ms. Rio Takahashi won the IEICE HC Award.
We are pleased to announce that Mr. Rio Takahashi, a first-year laboratory student, received the Human Communication Award (HC Award) from the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE).
Paper title: Effects of Visual and Tactile Impressions of Product Packages on Purchasing
Author: Rio Takahashi (Nihon Univ.), Haruka Yoshida (Nihon Univ.)
Publication number: HCS2022-83
This award is given to outstanding research among more than 300 research presentations by the Human Communication Group of the IEICE, and six projects were selected this year.
This research proposed a package design that evokes the feeling of using a product for which testers are no longer available due to the Corona disaster through impression words and tactile sensations. The award was given in recognition of the uniqueness of the research topic and the high validity of the project, which ranged from a psychological experiment on visual-tactile perception to the actual creation of the package design.
This award was presented to Ms. Takahashi in March 2023 while she was still a student.
Congratulations!
